Hot Lava Finished
I finished knitting Hot Lava the other day ... Here is the increase for front and back; this reminded me of Sunrise Jacket a little bit:
Hot Lavaが終わりました‥とりあえず、前後ろ身頃を作るための増やし目の部分はこんな感じ。ちょっとだけ、Sunrise Jacketを思い出しました。
The bust increase draw a beautiful curb line like this:
バストの部分はこんな風に増やし目になって、綺麗なカーブを描いています：
As I knitted as the pattern, the front and back part came out too big, and the sleeve came out too long, so I decided to cut it off for about 4 inches in between:
パターン通りに編んだところ、前後身頃も大きく、さらに袖がめちゃくちゃ長くなってしまったので、袖は仕方なく途中で１０センチほど切ってしまいました。
I used kitchener stitch to sew them together:
接合はメリヤスはぎで：
Here is the finished Cardi --- I guess the gauge was a bit off and the nature of these yarns ( silk & mohair) were so different form that of the original (=Manos del Uruguay = 100% wool). It drapes beautifully, but it stretches vertically too much and there is almost no elasticity horizontally so it doesn't snuggle into me at all... Another tough experiment with substitute yarns!
そして、こんな感じになりました‥ゲージがちょっとずれていたのと、糸の性質があまりに違うため（オリジナルはウール100%でしたが、今回はシルク＆モヘアの組み合わせ）、ドレープは綺麗にですのですが、縦方向に伸びすぎてしまって、横方向への収縮性が全くなく、体にフィットする感じが全くありません‥また代替糸で苦しい思いをすることになりました。まだまだ修行が必要です。

Yarn: Puppy Comosilk (100% silk, 40g/160m, Needle: JPN #4-6, Gauge: 20-21 sts/ 24-25 rows); Color: 55 --- 3 balls + Habu Silk Mohair in gray --- about 2 oz
Needle: 7mm circular (32" long)
Adjustment: cut off sleeve for about 4 inches each; reduced the number of increase for the bust in the end from 11 times to 6 times

I was told that silk tend to drag the outfit down. Good thing that long sleeves are in fashion. It still look cute on you! ;)
待ってました。着た写真を見ちゃうとまたまた編みたくなっちゃいました。
よく「長すぎたから切った」と聞きますが、どうやってやるのかなーと思ってました。wakanaさんの写真で納得です。考えてみたら切った部分は捨てて、目が残るからメリヤスはぎや伏せ目しちゃえばいいんですよね。
バスト部分が綺麗でとってもお似合いです。
次は何を編みますか～？

そっかー毛質でフィットしない感じなんですね、ほわっとまとっているようなかんじでしょうか。でも暖かそうです♪また色もいいですねー前の記事だとこげ茶っぽいですけど着用のはグレーっぽいですし。
このパターン今までかわいいな～位で半ば素通りでしたがちょっといいかも！編みたいかも！に変化してきました。長めな袖も結構好みです♪

Your new Lava looks very soft and light. Look forward to seeing the new Jenny project that you mentioned you just started. Would be fun to see what colour yarn you are knitting it with. We must be kindred knitting spirits to be choosing similar projects :)
身体にフィットしないって…いやいや、見た目非常にいいんですけど…元のデザインよりも透け感があるところもいいし、襟の折り返り具合も好みだな〜
切断縫合手術お疲れさまでした。しかしprint-o-the-stoleの時の方が断然大変でしたよね（やってる事が違いますが…）
とってもきれいに体にそっているような感じに見えるのですが。
オリジナルよりもwakanaさんの編まれた方が私は好きです。
ふんわりと軽そうだし、いつの糸の選び方が素敵でうっとりです。
mimi, i knew that silk gets dragged... and i still knitted too long... i should have adjusted the pattern in the beginning so that it won't get too long. In fact, most of the sleeves in knitting patterns are too long for me...
■ひいらぎさん、何とか終わりましたよ〜ぶつぶつ文句言っている割には毎日着ているかもしれません。今の時期にちょうどいい感じです。次はどうしよう‥いまのところ、あみかけやっつけるのが精一杯です。あ、とうとうヘリンボーン手袋始めました。
■maryさん、是非編んでください〜とってもお似合いになると思います！腕は１０センチずつ切って、それでもこんなに長いので、いかに私の腕が短いか、ということですね‥
Erin, my jenny (or beaded sweater ) is just started and I even haven't reached to the beaded part yet... so once I started to scatter beads around, i will put it up on the blog. my color is gray cotton + gray (or dark silver) beads... hope this works ok...
naganasuさん、襟はこれ、結構厄介です。編みっぱなしだから、意外と折り返す分量が少なくって、チョロチョロっと丸まっているだけ。うまく丸まるときもあるし、ものすごい襟の形になっちゃってるときもあります（笑）。透け感は狙ったので、ちょっとだけ満足です。
みふさん、糸選び、なかなかうまく行かないんですよ‥ピピッときたのに、出来上がりが全然違う、ということがしょっちゅう起こっています。経験不足、なのですよね。
